In this episode of Naturally Reconnected, we explore what our bodies are capable of when we listen to what they are trying to tell us. Taylor gets intimate with us and shares her recent journey of recovery from her alcohol addiction. She discusses her road that led to the decision, the process and how she feels one year later – mind, body and soul.
She gives seven tips for those who wish to embark on a similar journey:
You CAN do anything you put your mind to.
People will fall out of your life naturally as you transition to your best self, and that is okay.
You will be more in tune with your emotions than you ever knew possible, be gentle with yourself.
When you listen to your body and what it needs or doesn’t, it rewards you and begins to heal.
Take it one day at a time. And if that’s too much, take it one hour at a time. And if that’s too much, take it one minute at a time.
Love yourself. This is the greatest act of self-love you can express – listening to what your body, mind and soul need to be in healthy alignment.
Be proactive with your toolbox – add that friend/sponsor on speed dial and let them know you will need support, sweets on hand for early cravings, daily meditation practice, journal, nature.
